Speaking at Atlantic Women in Business Case Competition - hosted by Dalhousie Rowe Women in Business Association

The Annual Women in Business Case Competition is a two-day, interdisciplinary case competition hosted by the Dalhousie Women in Business Association (WIBA), in collaboration with Women in Engineering, Dal Innovates, the Women’s Equity Lab, and additional campus and community partners. This year’s theme is Women’s Health, challenging students to develop innovative, inclusive, and scalable solutions to real-world issues impacting women’s health and wellbeing. Participants will work in teams to identify a specific problem within the broader theme, build a business-informed solution, and pitch their idea to a panel of industry judges. The competition will conclude with a celebratory gala on the evening of Day 2, bringing together participants, judges, partners, and guests to recognize innovation, leadership, and collaboration.

Objectives

  • Spotlight women’s health challenges and opportunities through an innovation and business lens

  • Provide students with hands-on experience in teamwork, problem-solving, and pitching

  • Foster interdisciplinary collaboration across faculties

  • Strengthen connections between students and Atlantic Canada’s innovation ecosystem

  • Reinforce WIBA’s role as a platform for empowering students through experiential learning
